The ministry of justice established the computer database of pledges at April 1994.
Since 1968 the manual archives was under the authority of the
Management of the court. The manual archives conclude: firms & books.
There are five counties of Pledge Registration Office:
Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Beer sheave.
Pledge Registration Office pursuant to the Pledge’s law that created in 1967.
A pledge is created by agreement between the debtor and the creditor in accordance with this Law.
Such an agreement may not be registered at the pledge Registration Office & still be valid but If registered, the pledge will convey to the creditor superior rights over other debtors who has not registered pledge for the same property earlier. A registered pledge will also be enforced if the debtor is subject to a process of bankruptcy, and will be effective against third parties who acquire an interest in, or possession of the pledged property.
Property right that accords the creditor priority over debtors that have not registered a prior pledge and against third parties.
A pledge gives a creditor the right to obtain expedited satisfaction from the value of the pledged property, in the event of failure by the debtor to perform the secured obligation.
The registry created pursuant to this Law which has the responsibility to register and maintain the public database of all registered pledges.
Since Jan 2001 Pledge Registration Office officiate as registrar of companies.
Registered in Pledge Registration Office Changes: transfer & allocation of stocks, appointment / unappointment of managers, change of address, subjugation.
On Thursday new companies are registered at the Tel Aviv
Pledge Registration Office.
