The Israeli Law, Information and Technology Authority (ILITA) will host the "Role and Position of the Chief Privacy Officer Conference" in Tel Aviv, on March 3rd, 2010.
Section 17B in the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 requires certain data controllers and processors to appoint a Security Supervisor. As the Law undergoes processes of adaptation to the technological and business realities of now days, also examined is the possibility to expand this appointment duty to other controllers and to certain types of data processing, and to define more accurately the qualifications and organizational status of this appointee.

The conference will take place on Wednesday March 3rd, 2010 between 10:00-13:30, in the "Salon de Actos" in the 2nd floor of the Cervantes Instituto, on 7 Shulamit St., Tel Aviv (map of the area).
