The Israeli Law, Information and Technology Authority (ILITA) hereby publishes for public comments its position paper proposing an arrangement on data security duties of data processors by the Privacy Protection Law, 1981, prior to a conference on "Data Security in the context of Data Protection in Databases".
The conference will be held in cooperation with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) as part of a collaborative twinning project, and will include a presentation of the attitudes of the Spanish and British Data Protection Commissioners on this issue. The conference will also include the participation of a senior representative from the Spanish Association of Data Auditors. In addition, during this conference, the above mentioned position paper will be presented and a discussion will take place in light of comments from our honorable speakers.
The conference will be held on January 20th 2010 in conference room 102 at the Government Complex, 125 Begin Rd., Tel Aviv between 09:30-13:30 (it is recommended to arrive approx. half hour earlier due to security check). Registration for participation in this conference is by sending an email with basic details (name, job title, organization) to Twinning@justice.gov.il. The number of seats is limited!
