Conference on Privacy on Web Sites: Collecting Data, Consent and Privacy Policy
The Israeli Law, Information and Technology Authority (ILITA) will host on Tuesday 23rd March 2010 a conference on "Privacy on Web Sites: Collecting Data, Consent and Privacy Policy". The conference is within the framework of the Twinning project between ILITA and the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
The main speaker in the conference is Mr. Eduardo Ustaran, partner at the law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse in London (For more information on Mr. Ustaran). Mr. Ustaran is the head of FFW's Privacy and Information Law Group and an internationally recognized expert in privacy and data protection law. He specializes in legal issues that arise due to the use of information technologies and the Internet. He has been named by Revolution Magazine as one of the 40 most influential people in the growth of the digital sector in the UK and is ranked as a leading individual for data protection by Chambers UK.
Additional speakers in the conference are Ms. M. Veronica Perez, the Legal Adviser of the European Union Data Protection Supervisor and Ms. Paula Ortiz López from the International Department in the AEPD, who participated in the discussions of workgroup on data protection and telecommunications as part of the Article 29 Working Party of the Directive 95/46/EC.
The conference will be held on Tuesday March 23rd 2010, between 9:30-13:00, in room 101 in the Government Campus, 125 Begin Rd., Tel Aviv (it is recommended to arrive about half an hour earlier due to the security check).
